Hello,

Reviewing the links provided, I come to the following overall conclusions, and hope they help in providing little clarity.

The page "HPE Software Delivery Repository" provides a way to subscribe the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) on to your server.

SPP, which is the bundle of updated drivers and firmware for the server, is offerred based on the server generation. Starting with HPE Generation 8(Gen8), it is available separately for Gen9, Gen10, Gen11 servers. Each generation has their own image.

The last link shows is that of "Agentless Management Service". For a brief introduction, please refer to section "Agentless Management and AMS" of the iLO 5 user guide.

Regards,

Can someone explain this complete mess with the HPE RHEL repository? On the landing page there are differemt links for the different server generations. HPE Software Delivery Repository

There is one for Gen10 and Gen11

https://downloads.linux.hpe.com/SDR/repo/spp-gen11/RedHat/8/x86_64/current/

https://downloads.linux.hpe.com/SDR/repo/spp-gen10/redhat/8Server/x86_64/current/

The content of the repos is different. For example Gen10 included amsd version 2.7.0 from 08-2022, where Gen11 contains amsd 3.2.0 from 09-2022.

If I check Support Center for RHEL amsd versions, I get version 3.2.0.
Software Details - Agentless Management Service (iLO5, iLO 6) for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 Server | HPE Support

And the compatibility info shows that this version is for DL380Gen10, Gen10+ and Gen11.

So what about the content of the SPP Linux repository? It seemst to be completely messed up and new packages are simply not added to the Gen10 repo.

I know what this page is for and I also know what amsd is. What I don't understand is, why the Gen10 repository contains different (older) package versions than the Gen11 repository when in fact the latest version in Gen11 repo is also the right version for Gen10(+).

Lastest version for amsd ist 3.2.0 which is in Gen11 but not Gen10. So if I used the Gen10 repo for my updates then I do not get any updates.

Hello,

Requesting you to raise a HPE support case for the same as this would need to be looked into further internally to answer your query.

Thank you.
