About iLO password of changed motherboard

Our server's mainboard was changed in 2021 by HPE support under warranty and at the time we weren't using the iLO port a lot but now because of Covid, iLO technology has been helping us a lot in resolving problems at our main office and also other branchs with HPE servers.

My question is how can I get the iLO password that corresponds to the mainboard that was changed under warranty?

Hi Dwarts,
Please follow the below mentioned procedure-
1) Reconfigure the old Serial number and product ID. Refer this video.
2) Pull the Server serial number tab label located in front of the server, you can see the default iLO login credentials. Refer this docuement.

Hi,

there should be a DIP Switch on the Mainbaord for iLO.

If you set it, iLO Login is possible without a Password.

Then you can set a new (or the Old iLO Password) and switch back after.

You don't tell your Server model, but usually, there is a Sticker on the Lid with a description.

Thanks Cali you provided the solution, the system board does have the system maintenance switch with dip switches and S1 cleared the iLO password and was able to configure our own
