MR Storage Administrator how to "secure with ssl/tls"

The option to setup mail alerts on MR Storage Administrator includes "Secure with SSL/TLS" but this option is greayed out with no apparent way to enable it.

Anyone come across this previously and know of the fix please ?

As per below mentioned user guide, "If the Legacy checkbox is chosen, the SMTPs/SMTP and Secure with SSL/TLS fields are not relevant"

Unfortunately in my case “Legacy” is already selected with no option to deselect this – please see the screenshot below

I have clicked the [Restore Default Settings” option on the right and the details shown above remain unchanged.

Version: 008.004.016.000

What is the BIOS boot mode configured on the server?
I'm unsure what you mean here or indeed where to find it - can you please elaborate on the question ?

Its the BIOS boot mode, it can be checked in iLO web-page under Administration in the navigation tree, and then click the Boot Order tab.

However, please proceed to install version 8.2.19.0 and verify the outcome.

Ah thank you - in that case I can confirm that the boot mode is UEFI

I have downloaded and installed that CP050676 and downgraded from the v8.4.16.0 that was installed to this v8.2.19.0

This has now provided the SSL option that I am needing :

New DL360 G11 server. Attempting to set up MR Storage alert email. I am having the same issue - 'Legacy', 'Protocol' and 'Secure with SSL/TLS' options all grayed out. Server is updated with latest FW and Applications. UEFI bios.

I cannot figure out how to enable TLS, which is required for my email service.

I downgraded the firmware to v8.2.19.0 and this allowed me to untick the legacy box.

Thanks - I will look into that.

I'm just surprised that this issue would not have been resolved in more recent releases... I will test the old version to ensure it is compatible with the newer MR408i contollers.

On a side note - if I have set up email alerts through iLo, wouldn't that also inform me of any storage related issues?

Perhaps the iLo monitoring would be sufficient...
