ProLiant Microserver Gen10 Plus Zabbix SNMP issue

Hi,

We've found an issue with the latest version of HP iLo firmware 3.0 when using the RAID to mirror disks, the health is reported correctly in the iLo management interface but SNMP data is incorrectly sending a 1 (disk fault) instead of the response 2 it should sent to our Zabbix monitoring server. This is not an issue with our servers that are not using the RAID function and is fixed by reverting to iLo 2.99.

HPE Smart Array E208i-p SR Gen10 - running latest 6.22 firmware

Does anyone know if this is a known issue to HP, we are not under support to log this ourselves, or a fix for this?

Hi Support, our server does not need troubleshooting, the issue is that HP iLo 5 firmware version 3.0 has changed its SNMP responses and is falsely sending an error for the RAID volume.

Hi, another HPE user here.

We also have the same issue on all our ProLiant DL360 and DL380 Gen10 servers after upgrading the iLO firmware from 2.9.9 to 3.0.0.
The servers all have storage controller model "HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10".

CPQIDA-MIB::cpqDaLogDrvStatus.0.1 (1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.3.1.1.4.0.1) now reports 1 instead of 2

The iLO 3.0.0 firmware release notes mentions the following enhancement "SNMP GET, GET-NEXT and WALK support added for the following storage controllers on iLO5".
I assume this got broken when adding support for the other models.

This issue has already been reported to the HPE Engineering team and its being worked on. Subsequent iLO firmware release should have a fix for this. There is no ETA for the release date yet.

I've got the same issue but with the latest version of HP iLo 5 firmware 3.01.

Problem was exist on the iLO firmware 3.00 and still exist on the iLO 3.01 ( from the 29 of January 2024)

When HPE Engineering resolve this problem?

@zbebus and @icadmin same problem here. ILO5 firmware update from 2.99 to 3.01.
it seems that the snmp queries now return different values than before for the raid discs.
we are using nagios/checkmk,.

Last update on 2024-01-30 from my HPE support case was still: "As per there update, It is known issues with iLO 3.00 SNMP for gen10 server and currently engineering is working on it. No ETA provided , since Engineering Team are still working on it."
