Hello TopHatPrdxns115,

It would be difficult to recommend any settings in the BIOS without being aware about the hardware configuration in the server. We would recommend logging a support ticket so that a support representative reviews the logs and recommends the settings on best effort basis.

I'm currently running a DL580 G7 with ESXi 6.X installed. It runs multiple VMs that rely on PCI Passthrough. In some instances, I've noticed certain addin (PCIe) cards that don't work when inserted in the system (as previously discussed here). The server runs out of PCI memory resources, and can't utilise certain devices properly as a result. After a bit of searching, one possible solution I saw online was to disable (loading option ROMs for) onboard/integrated devices that I'm not actively using. Maybe features like:

SATA controller (front optical drive)

SD card reader

PXE/netboot

However, I need a way to know (for sure) which ones are safe for me to disable. Do you have any suggestions on how I can go about this? Are there any devices that most users disable right from the gate when getting this (or similar) servers?
