I have a few ilo5 units that are no longer reporting hardware issues through SNMP to my monitoring system. All the units stopped reporting within a few days of each other. I suspect this issue might be related to a recent firmware update.

When running an SNMP diagnostics test on the ilo units, it returns "unknown username". but I can confirm that I haven't changed the snmp v3 configuration on the iLO units or the configuration on the monitoring system..

I found a few other threads about snmp, but I am not 100% if it's the same problem..?

Hi,

I think this is the advisory for your issue. HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) - SNMPv3 Request Setting Defaults to Disabled After Upgrading iLO 5 Firmware to v2.90 (or later).

I have checked on my end, and found some where the option snmpv3 request was actually disabled, but also some where it was enabled.

enabled it on all, and disabled then enabled it again on those where it was already enabled.

need to wait and see if I get my hw reports..

We are getting data through SNMP now, but some OIDs seem to be no longer valid..?
For example we are no longer receiving temperature data.
