Hello HPE Community,

I am experiencing an issue with my HPE ProLiant DL20 Gen10 server. After powering it on, the power LED keeps blinking green and the server does not start. Additionally, there is an LED on the motherboard labeled P80DS8 that is blinking. When I access iLO, it shows a "Memory Degraded" error.

Here are some additional details:
- The server had been powered off for several weeks.
- Prior to shutting it down, there were no signs of any issues or problems.

Steps Taken So Far

1. Checked iLO Logs:
- Reviewed the Integrated Management Log in iLO for any relevant errors and warnings.
- Confirmed the "Memory Degraded" error.

2. Firmware Updates:
- Updated the iLO firmware to the latest version.
- Updated the BIOS firmware to the latest version.

3. BIOS Reset via iLO:
- Used the Remote Console to reset the BIOS configuration to defaults.
- Ensured all unnecessary devices are disabled in the BIOS configuration.
Despite these steps, the issue persists. The server still does not start, and the "Memory Degraded" error remains in iLO.

Request for Assistance

I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions from the community on how to resolve this issue. Specifically, if there are any additional diagnostics or steps that I can perform to identify and fix the problem, that would be incredibly helpful.

Thank you for your support.

Hi,

With the memory degraded error, did you swap with known good modules?
Did you check if the issue is with DIMM modules or the slot on the system board.
Some more resources for help:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00059223en_us
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00017522en_us
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00105301en_us

If you have updated the bios, I presume this server is still in warranty, please get in touch with HPE Support for help.

Thank You!
I work with HPE but opinions expressed here are mine.
