Hello All,

I have 100g card on my alletra storage servers. I did a iperf test between the nodes initially with switch in between, we were not getting more than 40gbps. The switch is clean with all it's ports reflecting 100g. We have connected back to back to check if there any issue on OS/server side, we are still getting Max of 40gbps. Not sure, if there is any problem on the rocky Linux 8.8 OS layer or the HW issue. Can someone guide here pls.

Hello,

As the configuration of the switch ports have been verified, you may perform the following, if they have not already been performed:

Connect another server with working 100G NIC and see if it functions at that speed.

In this server, if a known working spare 100G NIC is available, please install it and check the result.

Also, if there are settings in the software to setup the bandwidth for the NIC is present, please verify if the bandwidth is set to 100G.

Regards,

Hi,

be aware, that the 100G NIC need 16 PCI Lanes for full speed.
If the NIC is in OCP Slot you have to add the additional 8 Lane Cable.
But you don'r provide any Server configuration Info, so I'm unable to help further.

Cali

In my opinion, he is referring to Alettra 4000, because there is no 100GB NIC for Alletra Storage (B10000) today.
As Alletra 4000 is a server, it should be fine here.
However, since the Alletra Model is unclear, we are unable to help.
There are too many Alletra Systems out there, and the OS is also unknown.

It is better to open a new Task and specify the Model, OS, and provide additional information.

Cali
