    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This should be addressed after upgrading to Oneview 9.00. This is very likely to occur with any version of OV prior to 9.0 if syslog is already setup on the iLO 6 when the server is brought into OV for management/monitoring. Unfortunately, even if you configure it on the iLO after bringing it into OV you will likely see it cleared out once you do a refresh of the server hardware in OV. FYI...an iLO firmware upgrade would result in a refresh occurring, so that would explain why it appears to get cleared after the firmware upgrade.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Until you can upgrade OV, you can use the workaround of issuing the REST call to create a remote-syslog configuration. This is documented in the REST API guide:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://support.hpe.com/unmanagedDoc/display/public/dp00004037en_us/index.html#rest/remote-syslog" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://support.hpe.com/unmanagedDoc/display/public/dp00004037en_us/index.html#rest/remote-syslog&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When you configure syslog this way it will push the settings onto each iLO in OV with the correct syslog settings.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I was wondering if there are some more ppl here with the same issue we are seeing in our company with our new DL360 Gen11 machines. As of right now and only with the new Gen11 models (Gen10 and some older Gen9 machines do not have this issue) the ilo loses the syslog entry after we update the ilo firmware and reset the ilo in the process.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We did some initial tests and it does not really matter if we use the latest ilo version 1.6 or even downgrade back to 1.57 (which we had to do for stability reasons with ilo kernel drivers in VMwares esxi hypervisor, which kept crashing after the reset of the ilo when 1.6 was applied and the ilo driver vib installed).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Basically every up- or downgrade deletes the syslog entry. A simple reset of the ilo does not trigger the deletion. Is this a commonly known bug right now?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thomas&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi again,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;after some more testing the issue still persists. As I said in the initial posting we had some major problems with ilo firmware version 1.6 for gen11 dl360 servers, which has been adressed in&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&amp;amp;docId=a00141858en_us" target="_blank"&gt;Document Display | HPE Support Center&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp; . While rolling out the new version the settings for the syslog were reset again. IML does not get a reset, just the syslog entry is dropped.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is reproducable on pretty much every gen11 server that gets an ilo firmware update and it does not matter if it is an actual upgrade version or downgrade..&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When you say it loses the syslog entry does that mean that your syslog configuration is clear out after that? Are these servers in Oneview? I am aware of a problem related to them being in OV, but the change from just an iLO firmware upgrade is not something I have observed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi again,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;yes, all our HPe servers are managed using OneView. And as you mentioned, after updating or downgrading the ilo firmware the syslog configuration is cleared out.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
