ILO Advanced Pack?

Just setting up a ML370G3 with the ILO and it's telling me I need the Advanced Pack to use the Remote Console. How long has this been around - is this something our vendor should have told us about? I take it if you buy the separate RILOE II (as we always have done before), you don't get any of this hassle?

The ILO requires the advanced pack be purchased to use the graphical console and the virtual media. If you buy the RILOE II you get these features out of the box.

This has been around for as long as the ILO has.

The ILO Advanced Pack is in fact just a serial number that makes the additional options available. Costs about ??170

Thanks for the answers - I will speak to our vendor this morning. I suppose this must be the first server I've seen with just the ILO.

Talking about the same topic. I have proliant DL380 G4 with standard ILO, so I canÂ´t use the remote console. How could I update this standard ILO to the advanced?
