Check the SID Panel for any faulty component causing this issue:-
https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/c03242811 Page 80

If the PSU's are fine then it is possible that the systemboard is faulty. You can try performing minimum configuration to check if any component on the board is causing this issue. Also if ILO is accessible please check in ILO Integrated Management Log for any errors.

I have an hp proliant dl360e g8 that shows a red light and has an icon like a heart beat.

The server won't turn on and the power button has a orange light.

The ilo works and on the status page everything is ok.

The logs on ilo shows that it was shutdown due to power failure so it could be a psu issue but I dont have another one to test and as ilo works and says its ok im not sure if its a psu problem.

I tried removing power cord and psu and pluggin again and removing bios battery

Has anyone had this issue?

Hi thanks for your reply but the docs you send don't correspond to my server as I can't find the SID. The docs are for the 360p and mine is a 360e.

Found that the manual say:

3 Health LED Solid green = Normal
Flashing amber = System degraded
Flashing red = System critical
Fast-flashing red (4 Hz/cycles per sec) = Power fault**

and the led is currently fast-flashing red

this is at page 72 on: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c03415162&docLocale=en_US

I got a new psu and still same light and problem.

Tried removing some power cables and removing the power cable for the drives solved the issue and achieved to turn on, so problem is hard drive connectors.

Conmnecting all the drives to a PCI-E SATA shows the drive in POST but it says there are no drives to boot.

Good. Minimum configuration was required. Keep adding part till you isolate the faulty one. Also if issue still persists please get a support case logged because for power fault issues log analysis may be required to isolate the issue.
