@Riadm13

Good day!

Changing the CMOS battery on a server should not affect the BIOS or booting configuration in most cases. The CMOS battery is responsible for maintaining the real-time clock and storing BIOS settings when the server is powered off. Replacing the CMOS battery is a routine maintenance task and should not result in the loss of BIOS settings or boot configuration.

However, it's always a good practice to take some precautions:

>> Before replacing the CMOS battery, it's a good idea to document or take a photo of your current BIOS settings. This way, if anything unexpected were to happen, you can easily restore your settings to their previous state.

>> Ensure that the server is completely powered off and disconnected from power sources before replacing the CMOS battery. This helps prevent any electrical damage and ensures safety during the process.

>> Make sure you replace the CMOS battery with the correct type and model recommended by the server's manufacturer.

>> Handle the CMOS battery and the server's internal components with anti-static precautions to prevent any static discharge that could damage sensitive components.

>> Refer to your server's user manual or documentation for specific instructions on replacing the CMOS battery. The process can vary slightly between different server models.

Generally, replacing the CMOS battery is a straightforward task and should not cause any issues with BIOS settings or boot configurations. However, it's always a good idea to be prepared and follow best practices to minimize any potential risks.

I hope this helps you! Let me know..

Good morning,

Well I tried the switch 6 solution but the problem persists, when I plug in the server all the LEDs flash and the ilo time/date becomes 2001, and when I restart the server the date and the ilo time becomes normal, but when I unplugged again all the LEDs flash and error 266 non-volatile memory appears again, I have 5 other HPE DL380 Gen I unplugged them all and when I I plugged in the power button is solid orange and when I press the server starts directly except this one when I plug in all the LEDs start flashing as shown in the photo..

Here are some additional steps to consider:

>> Most HPE servers have built-in diagnostic tools that you can run during startup to check for hardware issues. Consult the server's user manual or documentation to learn how to access and use these diagnostics.

>> Examine any recent changes in the server's environment, such as power fluctuations or temperature issues, which could be contributing to these problems.

>> If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be a problem with the server's system board (motherboard). In such cases, you may need to consult with HPE support .

I hope this helps!

Hello,

About the mother board, well the thing is the server works perfectly when it's powered ON even if I shutdown it it stays normal solid Amber and when I powered ON it again there is no Error of the non volatile memory corruption, BUT when I remove the cables or shutdown the entire elecricity the LEDs starts flashing all and when I power on the server it shows on the screen the system is being default configured and when it starts the non volatile memory corruption error appears again, only with one server the others when I put the electricity ON again the servers stay solid amber.

The generator of the company is not working so we shutdown the entire electricity of the company to prevent any accident that's why I noticed this problem
