Ohhhhhhhhhhhh. That is interesting. It has been one of the main reasons I would never consider installing Linux on a Compaq Server. If only there was also an Integrated or Assisted Integration install for Linux. It seems that after how many years (?) the entire linux community has not made great strides in the install process. I hear it is better than it used to be, though. Keep up the good work.

It is now a very easy process to install Linux on most Compaq systems, since the latest distributions ship with the required drivers for most Compaq hardware configurations. If you have and older distribution, you can still download the required drivers and link them in to your Linux kernel.
