Given the 4250 controllers to for disks in drive cages, what would a 431 controller be for?

Thanks for response. But question still remains: Why would the server have 2- 4250 controllers for disks in the drive cages, and what would the 431

controller be for? 2 redundent 4250's and a 3rd different controller for the same drives??

Very confused as to purpose.
