As long as the SSD firmwares and the Controller firmwares are on the latest available versions, that should not be causing any issues.

I'm using a DL580 G7 with a Smart Array P410i for the front drive bays. Due to the age/performance of the previous HDDs, I decided to move to SAS SSDs. While performance and responsiveness have improves signifigantly, I am a bit concerned about statements that I've seen online, pertaining to using the P410i with SSDs. Some of the claims I've seen include:

The P410i can't/won't pass TRIM commands to the SSDs

SSDs attached to the P410i won't last long in a multi-drive RAID array

The P410i may suffer from write amplification

The P410i is not fully SSD-aware

I'd like to know what to actually expect, in long-term, when using the P410i with SAS SSDs. Currently using 800GB HGST enterprise SAS SSDs in the front bays.

I don't think that the document you linked answers my specific question, sadly.

I was asking about the validity of the statements/claims, which isn't directly addressed by the spec sheet (or the list of supported SSDs).
