Hello Yogesh,
What is the firmware of the Smart Array 221 controller?? If it is prior to 4.50B then update it and then let it rebuild. The Array controller firmware can be downloaded from the following link:

http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/14694.html

The softpack will ask you for four disks. But just make the first one and then escape. Cold boot your server with the floppy and it takes approxomately 3 and half minutes to update the firmware.

Regards,

Hi ,
I am having compaq proliant 3000 server with 221 Smart array controller. Server is having 5 disk with RAID5 configured. Yesterday I have replaced one of the failed harddisk. With Array configuration utility RAID has been rebuild. After rebuilding it was giving message press F5 to refresh the screen. After pressing F5 it is continuosly giving message "flashing drive tray LEDs help locate your drive". In drive-->information menu it is giving status as "waiting for rebuilding". yesterday I have tried to reboot the server but it was giving "rebuilding priviously aborted press F1 to rebuild again or F2 to continue without rebuilding". Now from last 24 hours I have not rebooted the server, stiil status is " waiting for rebuild". Can any one help me on this
