We have replaced almost everything except the backplane. Three hard drive failed in the same time, so I don't think the hard drive failure is possible. Any other components failure can be suggested??

Many thanks!!

My server down again this morning. Someone call me in the morning, it's about 3 ambers of 3 hard drives inside our DL380.

This is second time the hard drive failed. We got one amber on one hard drive on Monday. We install the whole system and replaced that hard drive. Unfortunately, we are facing the similar problem again (even worst).

Our vendor replaced motherboard and raid controller, but didn't help. We were suspecting the backplane (connectors for hot-plugs hard drives) failed instead. Is it possible or common for this component get failed?

Thanks.

I don't think that it's common but drive cage backplanes can fail.

A failed hard drive can block the SCSI bus and so the other drives will also fail. I've seen this happen.

SCSI cables can have defects which are not visible. But usually they only fail if they get somehow damaged.
