topic Smart Array Firmware Update Failure in ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

How do I recover from a failed firmware update? I have a Proliant 1200 with a Smart-2 array controller. I was attempting to update using SP19677. The first attempt to update ended with a failure message. When I reattempted to update, it stays indefinitely at the "Reprogramming Firmware..." screen.

Hello John,
What is the current firmware of the Smart Array Controller. If this is between 1.80 or 2.02 then you cannot just flash to the latest one. This has to be stepped up to 3.08 and then to 4.50. I am not sure if it's too late already.

Regards,
