Hello Paul,

I have teaming problems with a number of 3000R/500MHz using the NC3122 dual NIC (intel 82558 based).... Will not team when using the Team Utility 7 ver 7.41.0.0 (cp003946.exe) which you report or newer 7.50.0.0 driver.

Using 7.40.0.0 driver (unknown cpXXXXXX.exe) seems to work fine on other 3000R/500 which I have, again with NC3122 NICs

I don't loose IP details but people report registry scrambles, hence IP details lost... and attribute this to the Team Utility.

Seems to be the Team Utility rather than the NIC driver.... I have just located the 7.30.730.0 (cp003082.exe) which might help... Compaq FTP site.... I myself am still searching for the 7.40.0.0 driver.... if anyone knows its cpXXXXXX.exe code !

Hope this helps.

I have installed Windows 2003 on a ProLiant 3000R/333. I have installed cp003625 (W2k3 Netelligent) and cp003946 (W2k3 Network Configuration Utility 7). I have configured a Network Team with a fixed IP address, but after a reboot it looses its IP address. Anyone familiar with the problem?

Mark,

I used the Team Utility 7 ver 7.40.0.0 which gave the problems. After installing 7.41.0.0 the problem is solved.

Why can't you find ver 7.40.0.0 at the Compaq site? http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/17935.html

Hello Paul,

Firstly many thanks for the link to download the 7.40.0.0 driver which I have now done.

I did try the 7.30.730.0 driver today and again no reliable routing. The NICs team, have a valid IP/Gateway but don't work...... way too small no of received packets compared to the number transmitted.

I will try try the 7.40.0.0 driver tomorrow, but I coming to the conclusion there must be other issues, prehaps BIOS related as I noted the working 3000R/500 have OLDER bios.

My problem 3000R/500 has the latest BIOS plus latest BIOS in the 3200 RAID card....

Other than a fresh W2k3 install I will look to a new NIC card !

Many thanks, Mark
