buenas dias rafalel

the IMB busses connect the north bridge (serverworks chipset) to the south bridge and the pci expander chips.

so if there IS hardware error, all you can do is to replace the systemboard.

but, maybe a faulty pci card is an indirect cause.

there might also be a noise problem with the power supply (not very likely but possible).

it is definitely NOT the processors and the memory as they have separate buses (fsb and memory bus).

if the system does not crash, it might also be a problem of a driver or agent reporting errors that do not exist (misinterpreting an NMI).

best regards from germany
ernesto

Rafael,

Are you running Netware 5?

If so, try disabling the Compaq Health Driver from loading CPQHLTH.NLM.

If this fixes the problem then you may require an updated health driver.
Be aware also that the consequences of not loading this NLM may result in a lot of fan noise as the health driver drops the fan speeds on many Proliant models. This should not be a problem however.

I hope this helps.

Brian
