topic expanding RAID5 with second array in ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

we have a proliant 350 G2 with 4 SCSI 9,1 Mb in a RAID5 configuration.
We have Novell 5.1 running, reporting 1 logical drive.

We want to expand the server with 2 SCSI
of 128Gb. Can these be configurated as RAID1 in a second array?. And than just add a volume to novell for the second logical disk?

You can do offline with your SmartStart CD, or online with CPQONLIN.NLM.

Since you've got a ML350 G2, you should be able to do it online. Plug in your new drives, load CPQONLIN, and configure a new array to your liking. It's very easy to do.

However, since being paranoid is a good thing for an admin, you should make a full backup before doing this.

Regards,
Seth
