Hello,

This is not a supported configuration if we look at the slot matrix or the quickspecs options of the PL1600 server.

http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/riloe2/server-slot-matrix.html

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/10035_div/10035_div.html#Options

The Riloe2 is a universal card so yes it will fit physically in the slot and use 5v power. There is no cable attachment on the 1600 system board for power down and other functionality. External Y cables and AC adapter would have to be used, and the video like the Riloe would be plugged into the card. Your results ( if any ) are definately not going to be that of a Riloe2 in a supported server.

The Riloe is fully supported minus the power down feature.
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/remote-lightsout/server-slot-matrix.html

Hope this helps

The RILOE is now only available as a replacement "spare part" ie a bare board, minus cables, power adapter, CD, instructions. The power adapter is not available as a spare part and is not the same voltage (9V) as the RILOE II (10V). It's a DIY job.

Just an FYI

I was informed by HP support the replacement AC adapter they have listed is 164410-001 which is the same 10V 15 watt adapter used with the Riloe2.

Cheers
