hi

try this first:

put position 6 of the system-maintenance switch to ON and cold start your system.

this will erase the nv-ram (all your hw settings) - but it will keep your data. so it is safe.

this has help quite often in such a situation as it resolves hw conflicts.

then set back the switch to OFF and cold start again.

----------------------------------------

if it does not help remove all pci cards (except your raid controller) and repeat the steps above.

best regards
ernesto

Hi,

try to boot server with bare minumum hardware configuration the try the maintaince switch option to clear cmos/nvram and then check. It will help. since you have two processors try out with one first. What about the front panel leds. and on you pheriphal board there should be numerical representation on lcd which will tell about any internal part failure n server. Look for any of the following options to help your self to resolve the issu.

Regards,
Prashant S.

Hi Craig,

I wonder what happen if you remove the RAID card as well (absolutely bare minimum)... power up without the RAID controller, and I think it should still at least bootable from a floppy diskette?

Gus
