      <title>DL380 G4 with DAT72</title>

      <description>The BIOS and the scsi controller reports the tapedrive.&lt;BR /&gt;But the OS (SUSE enterprise server 9) cannot find the drive. &lt;BR /&gt;The tapeware 7 cannot find the drive also.&lt;BR /&gt;It is a new installation.&lt;BR /&gt;Internal hotswap DAT72 with RAID 5 disk array.&lt;BR /&gt;Anybody with tips?&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Harry</description>

      <description>The CCISS driver is likely the cause.  The driver support for tape drives connected to the SmartArray channel is lacking.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The CCISS driver for SUSE Server 8 only reciently gained support that worked with tape drives.&lt;BR /&gt;I do not think there has been an update yet for 9.
