I currently have a proliant 800 running as a file server with windows 2003 server installed.

The spec of the server is as follows:
Dual Piii 500 Mhz
512 RAM
2DH Raid Controller with 2 x 9.1 as raid 1 and 4 x 18.2 as raid 5.
1 x NIC in PCI slot

From time to time the server will restart due to no apparent reason. I am thinking I may have a problem with the system board.

I have replaced the battery recently as it was having problems with the clock but this has not corrected this problem.

I am at a loss as I have checked all of the jumpers and ensured that there are no conflicts in the windows drivers.

Can anyone help???
Yes I have run diagnostics on the server and removed it from the network for a period while I checked all of the hardware and software but problem still persists.

OK
your server is not in productuion I see.
My last idea is to boot from live Linux CD.
It will keep disks untouch and will run Linux OS. If your server reboot again it will be HardWare problem !
Read some info about knoppix.
http://www.knoppix.org/
