I have inherited a Compaq Proliant PL1600R (PDC)and Proliant 800 both with NT4 Server O/S - I am aware that Microsoft is no longer supporting NT4 and need to upgrade to either 2000 or 2003 Server O/S - the question is can these machines take either of these Operating Systems?

Hi Will,

our DC is an old ML370 (PIII 667MHz - 640MB RAM). It runs only the infrastructure functions (DC, DNS, WINS) for our W2K3 network. We have 50 clients and it's working. If you have enough RAM it can help a lot.

regards,
Akos
