    <description>During the 4.11 installation, uninstall ALL discovered drivers (ie deselect the network &amp;amp; disk drivers). Switch to the console &amp;amp; load nwpa.nlm (this must be version 2.3a, not the version on latest smartstart). Then load cpqshd.cdm (version 1.22, again not the one on the shipped smartstart CD). Switch back to netware 4.11 installation &amp;amp; load the scsihd.cdm driver from the list provided &amp;amp; the cpqarray driver (this time the one on the latest smartstart CD). Install the appropriate network driver. Then continue with the installation. The cpqarray should now load properly. I'm not sure if earlier version of these disk drivers will work, but if you use the versions above everthing should be OK &lt;BR /&gt;I have the above NLM's, if you require them.</description>

      <description>I had problem when installing Netware 4.11 onto a new ML370 with a Smart Array 431 controller. Netware cannot load driver cpqarray with error "cannot find public symbol: NPA_....". Any idea ?</description>

      <description>could you please send me the NLMs also? I'm installing 4.11 on ML370. &lt;BR /&gt;do you know if the drivers can be found on  any of the older versions of SmartStart CD? I have v4.23, 4.40 and 4.80. Thanks for the help</description>

      <description>Another way - using the latest drivers &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Manual install of Netware 4.11 on a Compaq  &lt;BR /&gt;ML370 with Smart Array 5300 controller. &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;make directory on DOS partition MKDIR C:\NWUPDATE &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;In the following steps, if you are asked to confirm overwrites,  &lt;BR /&gt;answer 'yes' or 'yes to all.'  &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Insert the SmartStart and Support Software CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive (E:) &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Copy E:\CPQSUPSW\NSSD\NETWORK\*.*	C:\NWUPDATE\*.* &lt;BR /&gt;Copy E:\CPQSUPSW\NSSD\IDE\3X_4X\*.*     C:\NWUPDATE\*.* &lt;BR /&gt;Copy E:\CPQSUPSW\NSSD\NWPA\*.* 	        C:\NWUPDATE\*.* &lt;BR /&gt;Copy E:\CPQSUPSW\NSSD\NWPA\4X\*.*  	C:\NWUPDATE\*.* &lt;BR /&gt;Del C:\NWUPDATE\SCSIHD.* &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Insert the NetWare 4.11 Operating System CD. &lt;BR /&gt;Type E:\INSTALL &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;After the hardware detection finishes, we don't want the  &lt;BR /&gt;automatically detected drivers, so &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;a)	At the Driver Summary screen, press &lt;ALT-ESC&gt; to reach the server console. &lt;BR /&gt;b)	At the server console, type ?load C:\NWUPDATE\NWPA.NLM?. &lt;BR /&gt;c)	At the server console, type ?load C:\NWUPDATE\CPQSHD.CDM?. &lt;BR /&gt;d)	At the server console, press &lt;ALT-ESC&gt; to return to Driver Summary screen. &lt;BR /&gt;e)	At the Driver Summary screen, choose Select additional or modify selected Disk/LAN drivers. &lt;BR /&gt;f) 	Highlight Disk and CD-ROM Drivers and press &lt;ENTER&gt;. &lt;BR /&gt;g)	Choose Deselect a selected driver to remove ALL pre-selected drivers. &lt;BR /&gt;h)	Choose Select an additional driver and press &lt;ENTER&gt;. &lt;BR /&gt;i)	Press &lt;INSERT&gt; at the Disk Driver list.  &lt;BR /&gt;j) 	Press &lt;F3&gt; to specify a different path. &lt;BR /&gt;k)	Type ?C:\NWUPDATE? and press &lt;ENTER&gt;. &lt;BR /&gt;l)	Select the appropriate drivers for your Compaq hardware.  For disk and array drivers, you do not have to enter any parameters (i.e., slot number)For the Smart Array 5300 I chose CPQRAID &lt;BR /&gt;m)	Answer Yes to the Load Additional Drivers question and select any remaining drivers as required for your hardware. &lt;BR /&gt;n)	Select Continue Installation. &lt;BR /&gt;o)	At the Driver Summary screen, choose Select additional or modify selected Disk/LAN drivers &lt;BR /&gt;p)	Highlight Network (LAN) Drivers and press &lt;ENTER&gt;. &lt;BR /&gt;q)	Choose Deselect a selected driver to remove ALL pre-selected drivers. &lt;BR /&gt;r)	Choose Select an additional driver and press &lt;ENTER&gt;. &lt;BR /&gt;s)	Press &lt;INSERT&gt; at the LAN Driver list. &lt;BR /&gt;Press &lt;F3&gt; to specify a different path. &lt;BR /&gt;u)	Type ?C:\NWUPDATE? and press &lt;ENTER&gt;. &lt;BR /&gt;v)	Select the appropriate drivers for your Compaq hardware.  Answer No to Save existing driver questions.  You will have to enter a slot number for your network card. &lt;BR /&gt;w)	Answer Yes to load any remaining network drivers as required by your hardware. &lt;BR /&gt;x)	Select Continue Installation. &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;When the server is setup delete the directory C:\NWUPDATE to avoid confusion.&lt;/ENTER&gt;&lt;/F3&gt;&lt;/INSERT&gt;&lt;/ENTER&gt;&lt;/ENTER&gt;&lt;/ENTER&gt;&lt;/F3&gt;&lt;/INSERT&gt;&lt;/ENTER&gt;&lt;/ENTER&gt;&lt;/ALT-ESC&gt;&lt;/ALT-ESC&gt;</description>
