Hi,

it's a good document!

In the case of the RHES3, is safe to make the extend of logical drive command?

I'm get a Warning:

Warning: Extension may not be supported on certain operating systems. Performing extension on these operating systems dog causes to inaccessible data to become. For See ACU documentation details. Continue? (y/n)

but i don't know if RHES3 has supported to a expand of logical drive?

This is true. Like in the case of Windows NT. It can not exist in a partiton larger the approx. 8GB. Other OS's can not stand the change in its install environment.

Print yourself a copy of the ACU manual for reference.
http://docs.hp.com/en/239449-005/239449-005.pdf
It shows you how to do either.
What was not mentioned was the option of backup and restore (you should be backing up anyway so you don't get yourself it a 'lost everything' situation). Depending on your situation, whether the server is available to go offline or not, this is a viable option. It takes less time if you can take the system offline and you can rebuild the RAID to a more expandable layout, i.e. if the system has 2 logical drives with an OS partition and a data partition you could use the old drives in a RAID 1 for restoring the OS to in its original size and state (therefore not to effect it) and the new to restore the data, in a seperate RAID 5 array.

I talked to my client and here is their current cetup. They have a DL580 server with 4 146Gb hardisk configured in RAID 5 with 3 logical drives. The logical drives was defined on ACU not under windows. Under windows this logical drive is seen in disk administrator as 3 separate hard disk as dive c, e and f. They will add 4 new 146 gb and will add this to drive e. What do you think is the best procedure. Thanks a lot.
