    <description>I agree. Disk head parking should automatically occr when disks are powered down. &lt;BR /&gt;Wrapping drives separately in bubble-wrap (make sure to label each one so can replace into correct slots at destination!)&lt;BR /&gt;will be a good idea too.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Are there guidelines on what to do before physically moving a Proliant DL server in order to prevent hardware damage? Perhapse instructions on parking the read disk heads and similar things?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;TIA,&lt;BR /&gt;David.</description>

      <description>Hi David!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As I know, parking of disk heards is being when gracefully shutdown complete. I recommend separate disk and server for preventing damage of backplane.</description>
