Hi

i have HP DL380 Server with two Hard disk 72.8 GB (15K) configured as RAID1+0. When i added a new one hard disk 146.8 GB (15K)is not dedicated and this error logged on the System Event viewer

Event ID: 24597
Sorce: CPQCSSE

Physical Drive on DEVICE ID 2 on Port 2 of
Array Controller [Embedded] has failed.
Failure Code: 0x14.

please help

Do you have red light on the new 146 Gb drive?

Nope no Red light which Indicating failure of the new hard disk, no light at all.

Amir, which DL380 generation (G1, G2, G3, G4) you have?
Have you installed last firmware for your SmartArray controller?

It is Generation 4 but I am not able to see the firmware the ACU is not working as well.

Amir, you can see firmware version during POST proccess (before OS boot)
Anyway, try to update to last version 2.58
Online update from windows: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23686.html
Also, do you have another spare SCSI drive to test?

Have you tried the new drive in other bays? Just make sure that your scsi backplane is ok.
