topic Moving an Array from a DL380 G2 to a DL380 G3 in ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

We currently have a DL380 G2 with 6 36GB drives and would like to replace the server with a DL380 G3. The server array is Raid 5 with one hot spare, C and E partitions are on the Raid.

Could the drives be removed from the G2 server, placed in the G3 server and would it work without major server rebuilding ??

The main problem with drives swap is SmartArray controller.
If you use integrated SmartArray 5i controller on both DL380 G2 and DL380 G3 - you will be able swap drives and load windows.
Reinstall Proliant support pack on G3 after drives swap.
