Over the weekend our Proliant ML350 locked up and the Internal LED light was RED. The server was still running but no one could access it. After rebooting the server, the light went out and users could log in as usual. I am trying to understand what caused the problem. I have looked at HP on line and found some references to a possible memory problem. Being new to this business of administering a server, I would like to know if anyone can guide me to the Maintenace Tools or some other tool to help figure out what caused the problem.
Thanks

I would check two places here.

1) the system event og (assuming this is a windows box).
2) the HP Integrated Management Log

one or both should give you some information on what is going on with your system.

Mike,
Thanks for the reply. I did check the system event log (ues it is a windows 2003 box). There was nothing there to indicate a problem. I did not know about the HP Integrated Management Log. I will look at that first thing in the morning.
Dom
