Where can i find the serial number of a ml110 G1?
It is on a remote site, so i cant go to the machine to read it.
Installing Insight Diagnostics isnt an option, because you have to reboot.

Hello Stussy,

Install Diagnostics for Windows (does'nt require a reboot) http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23015.html

Once installed, Start -> HP Information Center -> Diagnostics for Windows.

In the Diagnostics console select Asset Control from the Categories Menu and select Information Level More.
It'll list the Serial number provided there's an entry in the BIOS.

When i want to install this software it says to close all running programs, but this is a running server, i rather dont install anything on it.
Is't their a way to read the serial true the registry or device manager?

I have installed it on a live server without having to close any applications.
Perhaps every installer would give that message.

Serial number has to be entered in the BIOS/RBSU and diagnostic tool would collect the information.
Device Manager definitely would not have this information.
Not sure if there's an entry in Registry, afaik No.
