Hi,

I am setting up a brand new ML350 G4 with 4 x 36.4GB disk and a 6402 smart array controller.

I have just used the SmartStart CD and configured the array as RAID5. The raid config utility shows the four physical drives and a logical view of around 104GB so seems to all be set up fine.

However when I leave the RCU back to the smart start page it says a warning that there are no bootable disks in the system. Tried re-booting the server and it still doesn't work.

I tried manually installing the OS by booting from its CD but that also said the system has no disks?

Have i missed a step out when configuring the RAID?

Thanks

Danny,
Make sure you have defined SA 6402 as boot device. You define it on first SmartStart CD configuration page.
