Start with http://www.hp.com/servers/swdrivers --> ProLiant 1600+Windows 2000 to find the "Compaq System Erase Utility" that will eradicate all configuration. Keep in mind that the ProLiant 1600 went end-of-life way before Windows XP came out and although a PC operating system isn't part of the test matrix anyway, XP's server cousin, WS03, is not a supported OS on the 1600. You may have trouble with operation and also finding appropriate drivers for options that may be on your 1600.

I have obtained a ProLiant 1600 recently loaded with Netware 4x, which I know nothing about and is of no use to me; I would like to load Windows XP Pro, but I cannot get past the netware booting up. Is their a set procedure that I can use to override the automatic boot, or a recovery/restore disc that I can insert to erase the netware 4x OS partition, so that I can load my Windows XP Pro OS?

I thank you in anticipation of any help you can provide.........Colin
