Proliant ML 150 G3 hangs during NetWare 6.5 Install

When attempting to install Netware 6.5 on a Proliant ML 150 G3 the machine hangs at the Select Installation Language Prompt. The machine completely locks up. I just upgraded the BIOS firmware to no avail. Any suggestions?

which version of netware? is it the latest overlay?

I've used both the Novell Open Entrprise Server CD1 and the Novell Small Business Suite (NW 6.5 with SP3) and booting off both CD's causes the machine to hang in the same place.

I even tried a NW 6 CD but it hangs far sooner than the NW 6.5 CD does.

Seems that the ML150G3 is not listed as supported on the OS matrix:

Looking at the quickspecs for the server, it states that you need NW 6.5 SP6 at the minimum:

Are you using any pci cards at all? How many memory dimms? how many processors?

Try bringing down to 1 memory dimm, swap, do the same if you have multiple processors to at least rule out hardware somewhat.

Does it lock up if you try to install Windows Server 2003?

It is a single processor with four 512MB dimms.
