topic E200 with RAID 5 hang the server in ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

Need some advise on this, my E200 has upgraded to the latest firmware 1.66, and i created two logical drives using this E200, logical drive 1 is RAID 1 (2 x 146GB) for OS, then logical drive 2 is RAID 5 (4 x 146GB) for DATA.
The problem I have is when coping data via LAN (SQL Client) the same data via LAN if copied to RAID 1, no issue, it could complete. But when copied to the RAID 5, the server always hangs. I ran the ADU but couldn't find any error.
I tried to adjust the cache ratio to 100% on write but it doesn't help, the result is still the same. Copy to RAID 1 no problem, but when copy to RAID 5, server will hang.
Any idea what is root cause?

I too have a similar problem. ML350 G5, E200i, 1.66, one raid 1 array, one raid 5 array. Heavy I/O locks up the system. We have tried 3 identical servers, and all have locked up on us when under heavy I/O. In our case, the I/O is Oracle server generated.

Rita - have you found a solution?

Rita,

Ours has been resolved. We believe that the fix was installing a pair of new drivers - one from HP http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/27348.html and one from MS http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932755.

I'll bet it will work for you as well.

Steve
