Enlightened me Strange no boot blank screen when adding hardware.

Enlightened me please i have a compaq proliant 1600 with only one hard drive a 36gb scsi with win 2003 server and 512 of ram.any time i try to add a second hard drive i wanted to format it but nothing will boot no error message saying non system disk just a blank screen.i also tried to add another 256 chip of memory same manufactuer and it wont boot no error message just a blank screen i also tried using the smart start cd it wont boot. all of this will only happen when i try to add hardware.

- Regarding the Memory Module you have, The Server would work only with Hp Compatible Modules, The Details

256-MB 100-MHz Registered ECC SDRAM

-Try Reseating the HDD , As the Server has Integrated Controller, You can try Clearing Nv-ram from Bios . Incase the Issue Persist Verify Whether its Compatible with the Server from the Quick Specs Below
