Pb to install win2000 with raid 1 wit HP Server DL 140 G3

Hi,

I have a problem, i can't install win2000.
I enabled the sata raid 1 in the bios and i installed win2003(i have copied the storage driver in the boot cd win2003)and it's ok.
But when i copy the storage driver controller(http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/26742.html) in the boot cd win2000 and i restart to install it, it give me a message error that it's not possible to start the installation of win2000.
Please help me . It is the good driver? It's ok in win 2003 not in win 2000.

Hello Hassani,

"If" you are using the correct drivers, You may using a 3rd party software nLITE & integrate this drivers to the OS; & create a bootable CD.

I tested with nlite and it's not ok with win2000 server but with win2003 it's ok.I don't understand why? Could you check please if the next link is the good driver for sata raid

Of course i follow correctly the procedure. It's ok with win2003 and not with win2000. It's crazy

SmartStart is not supported in 100 series.

Make sure that sata controller set as bootable in cont. BIOS. It magically important for win2000

In Bios settings you must have several settings, as writeback cach enabled and bootable . Placed in a bottom of screen.

I upgrade the bios : 1.13 to 1.14 and the result is the same

in BIOS under Advanced-Advanced Chipset Control -> Serial ATA->SATA controller mode
Compatible/Enhanced"? Try changing the setting to the other one.

If this don't help try Advanced-advanced processor options- hyperthreading to disable.
There are sometimes issues with installing OS with Hyperthreading enabled.

If possible try different w2k CD.
