Anyone know if it is possible to use hponcfg.exe or something similar to distribute a SIM cert to ILO2s for Single Sign-On? I couldn't find the option in the XML.

Hello Tim,

Which SIM version are you using ?

HP released two add-ons for HP SM 5.1 SP1. One of them, Single Sign-On for ILO2 was long awaited, just hit the Management Processor status from the SIM overview and voila, instant logon just as with the SMH.

I am running v5.1. I tried SP1 but every 2 weeks or so, SIM would crash and I would have to reset the server.

I am aware of SSO that is why I need to find an easy way to distribute the SIM key to the ILO2s.

Anyone do this before?

Hello Tim,

If its the SIM thats Crashing, then Y reset the whole server ?

Use :

mxconfigrepo -a

To reset the SIM to Defaults, including the Database;

Once thats done; restore the Database from ur Backup;

Reset as in reboot the server. Not reinstall.
