If you currently have a hardware RAID 0 configured, simply add the 2nd disk to existing array and migrate to raid level 1.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c00215212&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

But backup before doing that is always a good idea!
Hope this helps
hi Tran Hoang

what is your smart array controller? p400? e200?

yes if you already have a RAID 0 you can migrate to RAID 1, that document that dms added (mine by the way jejeje, I need to put my firm in those docs) explain the procedure, so it is the same RAID 0 -> 1 or RAID 0 -> 5

also what dms means is if you have e200 or p400 you will need to buy BBWC for your controller (now I assuming your controller), why because e200 and p400:
Online RAID Level Migration (with BBWC upgrade)
e200
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12460_na/12460_na.html

p400
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12400_na/12400_na.html

the point if you dont have BBWC you wont have the option Migrate in ACU like the picture in the document

anything else
just let us know

regards
yes your Data is going to be OK.

But in order to get everything fine:

- Backup. it's not me. it is HP that recommend to this when any activity related with HDDs is taking place.

see HP Recommendation

"Back up all data on the array. Although array expansion is unlikely to cause data loss, observing
this precaution provides additional data protection."

but if you want a testimony I've done it several times. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.
the more recent on a Exchange Server.

- Have the latest firmware for your controller E200.
http://urlao.com/e200firmware

- Have the latest Array Configuration Utility also. 7.85
http://urlao.com/acu785

and follow the PDF now I added with new updates.

anything else just let us know

Regards
