Need information on HP DL580 server

Hi,

I am to work on HP DL 580 servers that are about 2 years old. they are running Red Hat kernel(2.4.9). Is there a place where I can find proper documentation for these servers online.

I'll be installing RHEL 4 AS on them.

Pl guide.

You don't say which kind, G2, G3, etc of server you want to use.

Firmware update may be required.

Deeply buried in one of the above searches is a central link to DL50 server documentation. Sorry you'll hae to work a little to find it.

Steve,

I figured out its DL580 G2. Its running Redhat 2.1. I want to upgrade it to RHEL 4,and am worried if I need to update/upgrade any firmware/BIOS/ROM so RHEL4 could work smoothly.

My issue is complicated by a SAN(Storage Works Modular SAN array 1000). Im also worried regarding RHEL-support of this h/w and if any firmware/ROM update is required on the system/HBA/RAID controller card.
