Install 2003 on DL360 G1?

I have an old DL360 G1 that I want to upgrade from NT4.0 to 2003. Is this technically impossible? I noticed that I needed to downgrade Smart Start and the Firmware to run on this hardware. And from there, I get a system error when attempting to install 2003.

which smartstart are you using? version?

have you change the type of OS in BIOS?
to W200 to cheat the server?

it's not documented but a lot of people have W2003 running on G1 servers

I applied SmartStart version 5.5. Do you have a reference handy on steps to 'cheat the bios' and set it for 2003?

I'll commence with a google search now.

The bios version is P21 (11/15/2002) but I'm not getting a prompt to enter the bios settings, only F8 for managing the disk arrays.

You could always try without smartstart at all. By the time a server is that old, its drivers tend to find its way into the base OS.

I wouldn't downgrade the firmware, get the latest you can of everything in this regard.
