I installed PSP 8.00a on my DL360 server. I now get a system error: "HP Insight Foundation Agents service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s)."

This occurs on restart. I can start the service manually without error. FYI: The service is to set to start automatically.

Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for the response.

I am running Windows 2003 on a DL380 G4 server. I has previously said it was a DL360. It is reporting the error on both a popup window and in the event logs.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event Category: (100)
Event ID: 1000
Date: 3/9/2008
Time: 6:30:42 PM
User: N/A
Computer: KSWANAB1
Description:
Faulting application cqmghost.exe, version 8.0.0.0, faulting module cpqperf.dll, version 8.0.0.0, fault address 0x000035bc.

Data:
0000: 41 70 70 6c 69 63 61 74 Applicat
0008: 69 6f 6e 20 46 61 69 6c ion Fail
0010: 75 72 65 20 20 63 71 6d ure cqm
0018: 67 68 6f 73 74 2e 65 78 ghost.ex
0020: 65 20 38 2e 30 2e 30 2e e 8.0.0.
0028: 30 20 69 6e 20 63 70 71 0 in cpq
0030: 70 65 72 66 2e 64 6c 6c perf.dll
0038: 20 38 2e 30 2e 30 2e 30 8.0.0.0
0040: 20 61 74 20 6f 66 66 73 at offs
0048: 65 74 20 30 30 30 30 33 et 00003
0050: 35 62 63 5bc

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7034
Date: 3/9/2008
Time: 6:30:42 PM
User: N/A
Computer: KSWANAB1
Description:
The HP Insight Foundation Agents service terminated unexpectedly.
I am having the same exact problem. I have installed it on a clean DL380 G5 server running fresh install of Windows Server 2008, SNMP installed with Read/Write Community String in place, and same error. Don't get it all the time, seems to be hit or miss on reboot mostly. PSP 8.0 in use; have to use this version due to Windows Server 2008 support. Anyone from HP? Please advise (note the driver event at same time - but no hardware changes occurred to the system whatsoever)

Event Name: BEX64
Response: None
Cab Id: 458143956
Problem signature:
P1: cqmghost.exe
P2: 8.0.0.0
P3: 47962e59
P4: CPQPERF.dll
P5: 8.0.0.0
P6: 47962e5b
P7: 0000000000006363
P8: c0000409
P9: 0000000000000000
P10:

Event Name: PnPGenericDriverFound
Response: None
Cab Id: 0
Problem signature:
P1: x64
P2: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_515E&SUBSYS_31FB103C&REV_02
P3:
P4:
P5:
P6:
P7:
P8:
P9:
P10:
Attached files:
These files may be available here:
"
Information 3/29/2008 6:50:16 PM Windows Error Reporting 1001 None "Fault bucket 186539837, type 5
Event Name: BEX64
Response: None
Cab Id: 0
Problem signature:
P1: cqmghost.exe
P2: 8.0.0.0
P3: 47962e59
P4: CPQPERF.dll
P5: 8.0.0.0
P6: 47962e5b
P7: 0000000000006363
P8: c0000409
P9: 0000000000000000
P10:
I have an exact the same problem.

Configuration:
HP ProLiant DL360 G5, PSP 8.00A, Windows 2003 Standard SP2 (+ SharePoint Portal 2003/2007).
BTW: works well on ProLiant DL320 G2, W2K3StdSP2)

After installing, reinstalling (HP IM Agents) or restarting (SNMP service) service "HP Insight Foundation Agents" is running just for approx. 2min and then stops with the following errors:

Log: System
Type: Error
User: N/A
Source: Service Control Manager
Category: None
Event ID: 7034
Description:
The HP Insight Foundation Agents service terminated unexpectedly. Stop the SNMP service and restart the Foundation Agents service. If the error persists, reinstalling the Management Agents may correct this error.

Any ideas? Shall I roll back to PSP v7.91?
