topic Display Driver in ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

Hiya,

I have just upgraded one of our ML350 G4 servers to Windows Server 2008 32-bit and the only drive missing is the display driver. I can see from another ML350 G4 we have (running Windows 2000) that it's a RAGE XL PCI but can't find drivers for it for Windows 2008.

Any ideas?

Thanks

We have same issue with a BL25p G1 which we loaded with PSP v8.00 (32bit) after loading Windows Server 2008 Web Edition.

All drivers we require are working fine except for the â RAGE XL PCIâ from â ATI Technologiesâ .

A search of HP.com and ATI.com and the general web show no updated driver for that OS yet...any ideas anyone on availability of this driver?

Matt Duguid
Trade Me

Hi,

for 2008 first try PSP install like Karlo advised, although it mentions only ATI ES1000 Video Controller Driver as contents and then if the driver is still missing, you can try the 2003 driver :

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?swItem=MTX-c3b7b38ce7c642698d530e6b94〈=en&cc=us&mode=5&

The server we are having issue with is a "bl35p g1" which has an "ATI RAGE PCI" video controller.

We install "Windows 2008" and then the "PSP 8.0". This version of the PSP contains "cp008301.exe" which provides support for "ATI ES100" or "RADEON 7000 Series" video adapters. They do not work with the card we have. I attempted to update the driver manually using both of those options which results in a blue screen.

The Windows 2003 driver does install manually (haven't tried via our scripted build yet but will shortly) but throws errors about it having "compatibility issues" so not ideal.
