I have a Proliant ML530 that I am trying to install SOL-LINUX on, but after the install completes and the server reboots, the operating system fails to load. Is there any way to change which drive is the boot drive? Or better yet, any other fantastic ideas which might help me get this thing working.

You Have changed the boot order in the BIOS, so the drive you installed LINUX on is the first boot drive ???????

That is exactly the question I was asking, "How do I change which drive the system boots from?"

Hi,

go into the BIOS(you are prompted with F9 or F10 depending on generation).

Under "Select OS" - choose linux.
"Controller Boot order" - choose the right controller.
"Standard boot order" choose the drive.

The points may differ if you have the ML530 Generation 1m but the options are there...
(Select OS may not be there if you have G2)
