I'm remote managing a Proliant ML 350 with 3 HDD in RAID 5 configuration.
Today I was looking at the software diagnostic and I noticed something wrong:

Array Diagnostic Utility Version 7.85.16.0
Array Diagnostic Utility Inspection Report Version 7.85.16.0

Date/Time: Friday, October 10, 2008 11:28:54AM
Computer Model: HP Server

SLOT SUMMARY:
Slot Num Slot Type Array Controllers and Host Adapters Detected
--------------------------------------------
SLOT 0 PCI Smart Array E200i Controller

SLOT 0 Smart Array E200i Controller ERROR REPORT:

Array accelerator status:
Hardware Problem detected with Cache board.
Please replace Cache board.

my question is... what should i really do? that server is housed in a webfarm and I should need to ask their technician hardware support. I attached the whole report.

thanks,
Regards, Alex

The HP Smart Array E200i Controller may show errors on the Array Accelerator Cache board, and indicate Cache board failures with old firmware versions.

Replacing the Cache board may resolve errors temporarily; however the issue may re-occur after few days.

Update the firmware for the RAID Controller and the issue should be resolved.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=329290&prodSeriesId=1157688&swItem=MTX-cc70b3b1fc1748a585578ff005&prodNameId=3182559&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=5

Please let me know if that resolved your issue.
Hi,

Thats correct. We can update the firmware and if not resolved, can reseat the cache module.

Else we may have to replace the cache module itself.

Regards,
Srinivas S
