DL380G5 Power Regulator Mode - Static High Performance Mode

Hi,

I have an issue with the DL380G5 (Dual-Quad Core X5450 Xeon) 'Static High Performance Mode'. Due to the nature of the application I am running, I need the cores to run at 3Ghz at all times. I enabled this mode in the setup utility, but when I run CPUID at low loads, it still reads 2Ghz core speeds. It does bump up to 3Ghz at high loads, but I do need all cores running full bore...

Has any one else seen this?

The only thing I see is you Proc(X5450) does not support any power regulator mode

Thanks for the response Karlo,

This is strange because I can see the processor change its core speed when load is placed on it - something must control this. If not the Power regulator mode, how about the OS?

Has anyone else had issues with this?
