topic Restarts when Shutdown in HPE ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

I have two DL580's, two DL360's and an ML370 running Microsoft Server 2003 and all restart when a shutdown is issued. I want to defeat this feature in order to be able to shutdown servers when we are running on UPS because of a power failure. How do I stop the "bouncing"?

Hi John,
I have seen this with a customer that had 6 servers that did this. reboots instead of shuting down.

He had to update the HP NC-Series Multifunction Driver for Windows Server 2003
which fixed this issue for him.

There are also a couple of other Forum messages that speak about this..

See http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1191567

and

http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1175648&admit=109447626+1205434481175+28353475

Hope that helps you

Neal..

Thank you, Neal. I didn't do a good job of checking the forum before I started my thread. I'm obviously just starting and have a lot to learn! I appreciate your providing the links to the other threads.
