go ahead and replace the temperature sensor cable

I've seen that cable causing those problems
this cable is shared in ml310 g5, ml150 g5, dl180 g5

but for your Dl180 g5 you need to replace the Drive cage since it is the part that comes with the temperature cable the drive cage spare number depends on the Dl180 G5 model you got I mean number of HDDs

Hi Linith

It could be reason for virus, hardware issue.
You can check it by reseating all of the parts (RAM,Processor), update the proliant support pack.
It will solve your issue.

Rgds//
Taifur

When I start the server it is making FAN noise . Display will come .Proliant logo screen. Then it will go off. It is hardware problem only. when it is going off, the internal health LED is blinking in red .No other indication on the sys bd.Please help me in this case. Or any of the replaced parts may be DOA.

but you said you already replaced System board
well I know SB can be DOA according previous notes you have not replaced RAM - Procs - Riser Cage1.

1. RAM As far as I know this server can be tested with 1 RAM at a time

2. get another one there is no other way to test

3. Remove physically the Riser cage these DL180 G5 does not need the riser cage to power on

4. System Board as I said might be DOA
is HP working with you on this?
